Wise Women Workouts: A Peek Into Our Fitness Routines

Jan 25, 2022Maria West

House of Wise wants to help women unapologetically take control of their fitness routines — whether in the gym, on the living room floor, or out in Mother Nature. But how are regular women who are juggling jobs, kids, and life actually overcoming the uphill motivational battle and moving their bodies?

We asked our Wise Women community about their fitness routines, and here's what they had to say.

Activity levels

When it comes to exercise, anything is better than nothing. As our in-house strength expert Ariel Belgrave says, “Any movement you can do matters, and any amount of time that you can do that movement matters."

Though no professional athletes took our survey, we have a fair share of consistent fitness routines represented. Activity levels range from light to intense:

  • 14% - Light
  • 50% - Moderate
  • 36% - Vigorous/intense

Workout types

The most popular types of fitness activities among our Wise Women are weight training, yoga, HIIT, and cardio. We also asked what new activities our participants want to try this year. Here are their answers:

  • Reformer Pilates
  • Weight training
  • Fitness app subscription consistency
  • Kickboxing
  • HIIT
  • Yoga fusion
  • Body Pump classes
  • Peloton classes
  • Learn how to do a handstand (we love a concrete abilities-focused goal!)

Fitness tracking

Among our survey respondents, 71% use wearable fitness trackers such as Apple Watch, Garmin, Fitbit, or Whoop.

Tracking steps: Of those who tracked steps, no one was getting more than 10,000. Who’s up for a Wise Woman Walking Club?

Tracking calories: Less than half of respondents track calories. Calories burned per day range from 200 to 1,000.

Water intake: Good news: everyone is staying hydrated (or at least trying to). 43% of respondents drink more than eight glasses of water a day, with 36% drinking less. 21% admit every day is different.

Caffeine and CBD Use

All Wise Women who responded report using caffeine for their workouts, either sometimes (50%) or all the time (50%).

How Wise Women feel using Strength Gummies

"As a tired mom of two that doesn’t drink caffeine, the little bit of caffeine in these Gummies is the exact boost I need to get through my workout and the rest of my day."

"I feel ready to give it my all and super motivated. Love the energy boost and the positive vibes a Strength Gummy gives me."

"Like superwoman."

"They give me a sense of clear focus. Not overly jittery or any weird jolts of unsustained energy. The Gummies help me perk up and focus. I honestly use them at work sometimes instead of afternoon coffee, even if I don’t intend to work out that day."

"I love the Strength Gummies and take them during afternoon/evening workouts for a burst of energy. It helps to set my intention and gives me turbo powers for tougher workouts. I've also found that they are an energy booster when I'm going out at night (I don't drink alcohol)."

"The Strength Gummies are my favorite House of Wise product, hands down. I always run in the evenings after work, and the Strength Gummies have the perfect amount of pick-me-up for a workout late in the day. I feel energized but not jittery or anxious like pre-workout makes me feel. Honesty, they are the perfect invention; just the boost a Wise Woman needs. I love them so much. Don't want to imagine life without them.”
